Called a “fine, young, leather-lunged soprano,” Meagan Searles Todd has been praised for her “high vocal purity.”  Before moving temporarily to Germany in Feb. 2013, Ms. Todd was recently seen as the title role in Holst's Savitri (Maya: Illusions) and as Jenny in Three Sisters Who Are Not Sisters with Intimate Opera, with which she is a founding member.  She also appeared as soprano soloist for Hendricks Symphony’s “To the Met” season finale concert, as well as their performance of Verdi’s Requiem.

Ms. Todd’s career has spanned the United States performing with Lyric Opera San Diego, San Francisco Lyric Opera, Livermore Valley Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Ash Lawn Opera, The Seagle Music Colony, as well as participating in concert series such as the Galerie d’Art International (San Diego, CA), Mosaic of Arts and Music (Palm Coast, FL), Flagler College’s lecture concert series, Full Circle Music (Indianapolis, IN), and Intimate Opera’s Opera on Demand series.  She has also been recognized as a finalist in the Coeur d'Alene Symphony Young Artist Competition and Classical Singer's Audition Competition in New York.

At home in opera or musical theater, Ms. Todd has covered a wide range of repertoire. Some of her favorite roles performed include Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Val (A Chorus Line), Antonia (Man of La Mancha), Pamina and First Lady (The Magic Flute), Geraldine (A Hand of Bridge), La Princesse (L’Enfant et les sortileges), Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring), and Graziella (West Side Story). She has also enjoyed the experience of covering the roles of Cio-Cio San (Madame Butterfly), Valencienne (The Merry Widow), Violetta (La traviata), and Mimì (La bohème), singing parts of all roles for outreach concerts and pre-concert lectures.

Meagan lives in Indiana with her husband, Brad, and their son, Levi.  From the beginning of 2013 - the end of 2014 Ms. Todd enjoyed a singing and teaching hiatus while she and her family lived in Starnberg, Germany. Now back Stateside she is thrilled to be a troupe member of Intimate Opera once again.
