Michael Jordan

Baritone Michael D. Jordan has established a reputation for performance excellence across the United States. In 1974, Opera News described him as an "able performer" for his performance of Count Almaviva with the Michigan Opera. Since then, Jordan has performed with the Detroit Symphony, the Amarillo Opera, the El Paso Opera, the Midland Opera Theater, the Midland-Odessa Symphony, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, the New Texas Music Works and the Victoria Bach Festival.

Jordan's operatic performance experience includes roles like Almaviva in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, Leporello in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Onegin in Tchaikowsky's Eugene Onegin, Melchior in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors, the Father in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, and the Duke of Plaza Toro in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Gondoliers. His professional oratorio and symphonic performance experience includes solo work in Bach's St Matthew Passion, Haydn's Creation, Duruflè's Requiem, Faurè's Requiem, Brahms' Neue Liebeslieder Waltzes and Ives' General Booth Enters Heaven.

Dr. Jordan is the co-founder and Associate Conductor of Allegro, Inc. Allegro is new musical organization that uses the magic of music in order to unite people of different cultures and races.
